Description

The panorama was taken on May 9th 2009 from Castelnuovo dell'Abate (south of Siena). The Val d'Orcia with its exceptional landscape is an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The panorama shows at left the Monte Amiata, an inactive volcano (1738 m high). In the center of the panorama, the town Castel del Piano can be seen between the hills.
