Yea this was our first test of the Gigapan epic 100. We didn't realize the exposure was set to auto until the next day. Kind of sucks because we won't have that opportunity again for a while. Edit. We had a 300mm on hand but the gigpan reported that it would take 900 shots and we didn't have the battery power for that. The Epic eats batteries like crazy.

You need to use the manual 'M' mode and set your exposure. The exposure was set to automatic which resulted in the patches of white due to adjacent photographs having different shutter speed, aperture, and possibly ISO settings. The white balance was fixed which is good. If you have a lens with 200mm or 300mm it would be great for this shot so that you can recognize people in the audience. An inexpensive lens for your camera would be the Sigma 70-300mm APO f4-5.6 lens sells for around $210 USD online. I hope you will give it another try using a manual exposure : )
