First try with the Gigapan Epic 100, from my bedroom window. The playground is half a mile away.
Camera is Panasonic FZ28 with LT77 teleconverter, giving a focal length of 866m in 35mm-speak, or 25x zoom. Focus, exposure and white balance all locked.
The length / weight of the teleconverter is causing some problems, as the camera is still bouncing slightly when pictures are taken... and at 25x zoom, slight bouncing isn't good. The FZ28's self timer isn't persistent, which is a pain. I've partially got around the problem by using burst mode to take three pictures for each button push, and used the last of each triple for this stitch.
