Improvised tent houses in central Bangalore, India, near the western end of C.M.H. Road. Extreme poverty and high-end development are juxtaposed in this image from fast-growing Bangalore. Like much of the central city, this area is (or will be) undergoing rapid change; in three years these tents will most likely not be here any longer. At lower left: a man makes his living ironing shirts.
