Ravenswood was built by the "Blind Boss" of San Francisco, Christopher A. Buckley, Sr. in the 1870's and 80's. This was summer home for the Buckleys from 1885 to 1920. Until prohibition it was one of the larger early vineyards in the Livermore Valley, with a production of 500,000 gallons per year from 100 acres.
It is now a park and venue for weddings and other events. More on the site here:
