Description

Mount Tallac is one of the most visible peaks along the southwest shore of Lake Tahoe. It also happens to be one of the best and most popular peaks for backcountry skiing in the Tahoe Sierra. This photo was taken on the northeast side of the peak at about 6700 ft, near the start of the most popular winter approach route for skiers.
