Lake sediments exposed along Route 9 in central Connecticut.

The same outcrop seen in www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=18668 , but looking more close up at the structures in the sedimentary layers and the thin film of quartz deposited on the fracture face seen at left center.
