Built in 1908, the Pagoda stands 72ft tall, sits on My Penn, overlooks all of Reading and was originally going to be a glamrous luxury hotel.
Due to lack of proper access roads to the Pagoda, its original owner donated it to the city.
Before radio, lights on each tier were used to transmit election, sports and other important news to the residents via morse code.
It is now a landmark and sightseeing destination.
