I re photographed this shot with an Epic 100 engineering prototype using the electronic trigger. I used a Canon Xsi with a battery holder and a Sigma APO 300mm lens. This is a very exciting pano for me because of the kit used. Note that it is 0.65Gpix but the horizontal field of view is only 61 degrees. How is it done? With an Epic 100, a small DSLR and a zoom lens. I don't think this camera/lens combination was possible with the beta or regular Epic. Of course there are bridge cameras with long zoom (eg the Sony H7 that I use goes to 530mm (35mm equiv)), but it is far from a DSLR in terms of image quality. I have just received an Epic 100 of my very own, so this pano has really whet my appetite! :-)
