- Description
-
This geological and biological feature in Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park has been rebuilt in recent years. Gone is the road that gave convenient access. Now there are raised walkways to keep people from trampling the landscape. As a result, it is a more private site that preserves the forces that are at work shaping the landscape.
