Emmanuel Reformed Cemetery in Hanover was the first resting place of eleven of the nineteen soldiers killed or mortally wounded on July 30, 1863, at the Battle of Hanover. Remains from Hanover were part of the massive exhumation and reburial at Gettysburg National Cemetery of over 3,500 Union soldiers. Emmanuel Reformed Cemetery is also known as German Reformed Cemetery.
