An ad hoc crossing of Stevens Creek in Mountain View. I used to live a couple of blocks from Steven's creek, in Los Altos, and there was a half mile section of the creek which I knew well. They would put up a temporar, but high, earth damn at Fremont every year. The idea was to give the water more time to percolate down to recharge the water table and reverse ground water subsidence issue.
Playing in the creek is a good thing to do. For kids, and maybe for adults as well.
