Description

On August 13, 2014, the Quapaw Tribe's Domestic Violence Program, Local Environmental Action Demanded Agency and the Miami Community Crisis Center partnered to bring the quilt to the area.

The Monument Quilt is a crowd sourced collection of thousands of stories from survivors of rape and abuse. The quilt creates and demands public space to heal. It is creating a new culture where survivors are publicly supported rather than publicly shamed.
