This panorama was take from the cliff at the edge of Victoria Gardens and covers the beach, harbour and Victoria Parade on which is located the Charles Dickens museum.
The town is an ancient place and was the scene of a fierce battle, in 853, between the Saxons and the Danes.
Details: 546 - 24 mpixel images processed in Adobe Lightroom & Stitched with Kolor Autopano Giga. Final adjustments made in Photoshop and scaled down from 21GB to 15.1GB psb file (short of space on my C:\ drive for Gigapan upload to process PSB files).
