Description

This was a compilation of photos taken from each of the 4 sides of the Washington Monument around 505 feet up. I first stitched each of the 4 views individually (north, south, east, and west) then merged the 4 panoramas into one larger one. It measures nearly 50,000 pixels wide and is the first time I haven't been able to use JPG compression...

Taken around 9:45 am on January 23, 2009 - a few days after Obama took office.
