This is the church where her Jane Austen's father was priest and is buried here. Some say that Jane Austen was married here, but she never married.
Obviously not a 'proper' gigapan but the individual images are too small and I think they are of interest.
From left to right: the front of the church; inside looking towards the front door and balcony; the view from the balcony, and the stained glass window (taken from the balcony).
For context, see share.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=8792&snapshot_id=24729 and www.gigapan.org/gigapans/16121/.

fetching snapshots...

I have no idea how many St. Swithin's there are if you are talking about churches, quite a few I would imagine. If you are asking how many saints there were, I believe "Swithin" and "Swithun" are alternative spellings of the same name, but according to Wikipedia there are two candidates for the title "St. Swithin" (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Swithu n
).
One might expect the BBC to be more
authoritative(?) and they have this to say: tinyurl.com/mqompu
.

How many St. Swithin's are there? Do St. Swithun's count? Regarding English ecclesiastical history, who was St. Swithun?

Thanks Rich. Until recently I felt that the uploading of collages and things like Mandlebrot sets was an 'improper' use of gigapan.org, and I still feel a little uncomfortable about uploading a collage myself, so it is good to know somebody likes what I have done. Now that I am feeling more tolerant and mellow, my next offering will be a 20 gigapixel image called "Can you find the one black pixel in this white square?" :-)

I like that effect a lot! Very cool.
