Mt Hood from Sandy, Oregon on a very windy day. I took this photo using a Canon G9 with a 2x teleconverter for a 35 mm equivalent focal length of 400 mm. I used a very fast shutter speed above 1/1200 s, F4.8, ISO 80. I used a Gigapan robot and I stitched it using Autopano pro v1.4.2. It was a very windy day and I was not able to find a sheltered spot. I was hoping to get a DSLR panoramic as well to compare, but the conditions were not good.
This location is about 25 miles / 70 kilometers away from the peak of Mt Hood. A better Gigapan that is taken from about 43 miles / 70 kilometers with a Canon 300 mm f4 L series lens is here www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=13977
