Description

360° panorama taken from the side of the Branscomb Glacier, Antarctica, near Basecamp on the Vinson Massif. The primary peak on the left of center is Vinson, the highest peak on the continent at 16,050 feet. The image was taken during an expedition bringing Eddie Bauer / First Ascent back to the continent; Eddie Bauer outfitted the 1966/67 Antarctic Expedition that made the first ascent of Vinson and all the 6 highest peaks on the continent. Jake Norton took the remains Bill Long's Alaska State Flag back to the summit of Vinson on that expedition.

There are three skiers in the image - take a peek and find them!
