Correction... Jupiter (not Venus) was quite close to the moon on February 10th at 3:30 PM Pacific time. See : earthsky.org/tonight/moon-closer-to-jupiter-on-february-10
I also verified that Jupiter and the Moon were visible at the same time by using Stellarium. I have uploaded a screen capture to my personal web site at: www.loughridge.com/MoonAndJupiterFeb10.png
We pulled off the road when we saw the Moon peaking over the mountains. Look quite far left of the Moon and you will see Venus (correction: Jupiter) is also in the sky. Venus (correction... Jupiter) is to the left about 12 "Moon diameters". It is about 1 "Moon diameter" above the moon. You will see it as a perfect white circle. It's a bit hard to find so zoom in nearly all the way. As I photographed this scene we could see what we thought was a bright "star", but later using a star chart I determined that we were actually looking at Venus (correction... Jupiter). Thank you Goiserer for commenting about my mistake and alerting me to this error.
