Description

This rocky face along the south side of Wadi Mayd, ~25 km south of Muscat, exposes a set a mega-sheath folds in strongly deformed carbonate rocks. These folds were described by Searle and Alsop in a 2007 article in the journal Geology. More information about this exposure is available at Chuck Bailey's blog (blogs.wm.edu/author/cmbail Will open in a new tab or window/).
