Sunset over Anchorage on a very clear winter day in December. Several mountain ranges are visible, the closest of which is the "sleeping lady" (Mount Susitna) just left of the center. To the right, the snowy mountain peaks hundreds of miles away are Mt Foraker, Hunter and McKinley. The city center of Anchorage is centered in the picture.
Resolution mostly limited not by lens or camera, but air turbulence due to the temperature differences in the atmosphere over the city.
Edit: Unfortunately color rendition is not great on this gigapan. Check out my website to view the colors closer to what they looked to me that afternoon: www.joostdaniels.com/Pictures/Places/Alaska/i-hX66SfV
