This panorama was taken using the Gigapan camera from the observation deck of the Canada France Hawaii Telescope. Much thanks to Tom Benedict and CFHT for providing access.

Jon, This is really a great panorama of Mauna Kea and the clouds and the sunset, especially seeing it in Google Earth. Thanks :) Texas has the MacDonald Observatory: www.as.utexas.edu/mcdonald /, but from Houston, it is a far distance to drive to take a GigaPan, which I would like to, especially after seeing what you have done.
