Upstream at left is Carrie Furnace.
Across the river from that (not visible) is the Pump House where the Homestead Steelworkers' Strike of 1892 took place.
Directly across the river is Homestead and the Waterfront Shopping Center, site of the former Homestead Works steel mill - the largest in the world in the mid 20th century.
Downstream at right is the Homestead-Grays Bridge.
