Valley of Fire State Park was home to Basketmaker and Ancestral Pueblo (Anasazi), according to park authorities. I've seen age estimates of 3000-4000 years for petroglyphs found within the park. The first thing I noticed about this panel is that some of the markings are lighter than others, suggesting they were added at two distinct time intervals. The panel is located directly across from the Mouse's Tank trailhed parking area.
