This is a boring panoramic photo but it's the first one that I made using my beta gigapan imager. I used a Canon G10 but I will be retuning that camera because it lacks AEL and AFL. I'm thinking about the Canon 110 and/or the SX10 and/or the G9. Waddya think?

Thanks! I just ordered a Canon SX110IS to replace the G10. I was using the G10 in manual mode so I fixed the exposure without a problem. The trouble I have with the G10 is the lack of autofocus lock. :-( I like the camera very much and I'm thinking about keeping it now. LOL. Why do I keep finding such expensive hobbies?!?!

These compact cameras do not want to give the photographer much control do they? However, if you switch to manual (M) settings on your G10 you can set ISO, aperture and shutter speed (=AEL). Next if you auto focus, then turn on manual focus, you have AFL. (Just do not turn off the LCD or the camera reverts to auto focus.) You have an excellent GigaPan camera in the G10 - don't give up yet!
