Regarding the light. It was late February and as you can see the sun was quite low. Considering this was the middle of winter and the location is the same latitude as Juneau (Alaska), there is very little snow or ice. This is due to the Gulf Stream which brings warm water to the north of the British Isles.

I was wondering if the light as shown in the photo was accurate. I imagine it is about right for 4pm in February. Geocoding. I can see a placemark in the mini-map on the right of the screen, but there is no "View in Google Earth" link. How did you manage to achieve this? Is this what happens when you geocode but don't tick the "share this image" checkbox? Can you tick it please if so? I'd like to see this gp in GE.

these were taken in February 2007 around 4pm. They were not originally destined for gigapan only for a personal record of a superb day.

Can anyone see two racehorses in this panorama?

I love the dark moodiness of this shot. What time of year/day was it taken? Also, you really must geocode this image - I think it will look great in Google Earth.
