I use my pocket camera mounted on a tripod, which I leveled by eye. I used Hugin software to stitch it together. I shot this in later afternoon and while the individual images all looked good they don't "blend" well. I'm going to try this again earlier in the day and I'll use my Canon EOS 10D with a 300mm lens.
Taken off of Warren Wilson Road in Swannanoa, NC looking across the grounds of Warren Wilson College.

Good first stitch. The one thing you need to do to make this perfect is to take all shots at the same aperture and shutter speed. This will stop the shadow effect.
