Deer Cave, in Gunung Mulu National Park, is one of the largest cave passages and chambers in the world. Home to millions of bats and cave swiftlets, it is impressive for its size, and the evening bat exodus. Due to its size and the overall speed of water passage in the caves in Mulu, there are not always the stalactites and stalagmites found in lower energy caves, however, Langs Cave, a few hundred meters away has some nice traditional formations.
One of the (many) unique features of Deer Cave is the mountains of bat guano below the bat colonies. And on that guano, vast numbers of cockroaches and other invertebrates harvest the nutrition still left.

Gunung Mulu National Park is a World Heritage Area - whc.unesco.org/en/list/1013 Will open in a new tab or window - and an amazing place to visit. Not only for the caves, but the jungle surrounding. I've also been entranced by the invertebrate / insect life around the area - which you can see at sites.google.com/site/mulubugs Will open in a new tab or window/
