The Navajo Sandstone exposed in a remote section of northernmost Arizona is being studied by Crystal Hammer and Marjorie Chan of the University of Utah to better understand the history of sedimentation and deformation of this ancient aeolian deposit of sand dunes. The image was acquired by Crystal Hammer & Marjorie
Chan, and processed by Ron Bruhn.
