At Baccu Locci, the poisonous lead-arsenic sulphide mining waste outside many small mining galleries along the river Baccu Locci is excavated and re-deposited into a central disposal site. The bottom of the CDS is impermeabilised with geo-texties and then the waste is deposited after it is mixed with mineral reagents to decrease the solubility of toxic compounds.
