The Kanawha Rangers are a primitive re-enactment group of the Mountaineer Flintlock Rifles, Inc. They portray as accurately as possible the clothing, skills and equipment of the longhunters of the period from about 1750 to 1800. The longhunters were men like Daniel Boone, Simon Kenton and Lewis Wetzel, who left their homes for months at a time and hunted and trapped in what is now West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky.

This is a GigaPan of the Woodland Walk - the shooting range used by the Kanawha Rangers on the first Saturday of each month. If you look closely you can see several metal gongs and the black bear silhouette used as targets.
