Very striking view, actually one of many striking views seen inside Napoleon's apartments in the Louvre.

    Well put Kilgore661 ... the rich get richer and the poor get poorer and only in museums do we see this firsthand as we do in Napoleon III's apartments.

    An amazing thing although I being equivocal here. On the one hand I am glad artefacts like this survive for me to see, but on the other hand it reminds me of the inequalities of bygone (and perhaps current) times.
