Description

When walking east from the Musee d'Orsay, the first thing you see is a statue of Thomas Jefferson, United States Ambassador to France. While crossing over the bridge, we came to this scene, took the panorama, and was then confronted by a pickpocket lady who tried to trick me with a "gold" ring, but failed in her attempt.

Paris is beautiful and it is not yet spring ... another week, but sadly, we will be back in Houston.

Pont du Carrousel is two bridges along. This bridge is not called "Pont de" anything but Place Solférino. This shot will look good in Google Earth when it is geocoded. Does anyone know how many bridges in Paris have locks like this? I know of this one, Pont de l'Archevêché and Pont des Arts. This stupid page won't let me put links to my gigapans of the latter two bridges into this comment but you can find them amongs my Paris panos with this link gigapan.com/gigapans?tags=prs661

Was this taken from the Pont du Carrousel?
