Description

Schottentor (Scots' Gate). These days, there are no gates anymore, obviously, but the historic names survived.
Schottentor is a huge public transport hub today, served by 10 tram lines (D, 1, 2, 37, 38, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44), 2 bus lines (1A, 40A) and one metro line (U2). The proximity of many university departments, offices and shops makes this stop one of the busiest in Vienna.
