The stunning color of these trees amazed me during my drive in to work this morning. This panorama is one of several that Emily Hamner and I took together, in hopes of capturing their beauty. This panorama is all we could salvage from a larger scene that was virtually identical to Maple Trees 1 (www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=1260). The gigapan shut itself off in the middle of taking pictures because we had it paused while traffic was passing by. When it resumed, it lost its position and threw off the rest of the photos (a bug that has been fixed in more recent versions of the firmware). This panorama was taken with focus and exposure locked.
