- border-wall bison janos pronghorn
- Description
-
The border fence that divides Janos, Chihuahua from Hidalgo County in New Mexico west of the Antelope Wells border crossing, is repeatedly broken by the free ranging bison that moves back and forth. When broken, it allows pronghorn (which canot cross the border fence) to cross into Mexico, but cattle to go to the US, so the owners of the ranch in the Mexican side of the border have been repiring the fence for decades.
If the fence is changed for a wall, the movement of these large ungulates between both countries will stop.
