Description

In 2002, the Municipality of Haarlemmermeer built a unique building for the Floriade: The Haarlemmermeer Pavilion.

Designed by Asymptote Architects in New York, the building has reaped many awards. From spring through autumn, a stream of water flows over the roof and creates a spectacular waterfall near the entrance. The pavilion is located on the fringes of the Haarlemmermeer Forest and extends out over a lake.
