En una isla tan pequeña en donde el mar tiene tanta presencia, las señales marítimas se convierten en elementos clave en el paisaje. El faro de Es Cap de Barbaria, que señaliza el punto más meridional de las Illes Balears, es una obra más reciente, llevada a cabo entre 1970 y 1971.
