I return to this place from time to time to make a new image.
Terrace Hill is one of nine promontories in and around San Luis Obispo that are the remains of the rim of an ancient volcano. This is one of the small ones, at 459 feet altitude.
Terrace Hill is a dedicated open space of the City of San Luis Obispo. It once had much more altitude. After the top was chopped off for a landfill (where?) it was renamed Terrace Hill.
This is my fourth GigaPan from this spot. This one is of higher resolution, and was taken after several rainstorms, which provided a bit of green to the landscape.
