Description

This is a companion panorama to "Freshwater Pond in Autumn". It is a hand-held panorama taken in late November after one of the first hard freezes of the year. The band shell with a red-roof in the Autumn picture had been recently renovated with a new copper roof (as it appeared, originally) when this one was taken. The Public Gardens of Halifax occupy about 20 acres in the heart of the city and are laid out as a traditional Victorian Garden, complete with geometrically arranged pathways and concert band shell.
