Curry Ranch is a thousand acres of cattle ranch located in Curry Canyon on the South East slopes of Mount Diablo East of San Franciso and Oakland California. This land will not be built upon futher as it will be protected as wildlife habitat by selling "mitigation rights". California requires that developers set aside land as protected to compensate for the habitat that they impact. This has allowed the development of large park preserves and private land holdings to exist in close proximity to our urban areas.
