Some time ago I took this pano share.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=7169 with the old Robopan robotic camera head. It's a shot I really like but I had all sorts of problems trying to get it to stitch. Now I know a lot more about stitching and have a better computer so I thought I would have another go at sorting it out.

This pano shows the main problem area. It is a caused by a fairly common problem with stitchers that for whatever reason don't or can't use the information that the pictures are taken in columns, and I know how to fix it. But this struck me as an interesting image in its own right - perhaps Picasso would have liked it? :-)

It also occurred to me that the Gigapan team might like to start a curated collection of stitching disasters :-)
