Comments on Gigapan: Twenty Lakes Basin Right Image

  2. This is the RIGHT half of a stereoscopic 3d panraoma taken in the Inyo National Forrest. These alpine lakes are above 10,000 feet elevation and are near tree line. The granite basin was glacially cut and many of the lakes were made our enhanced to provide water for mining operations and/or electric power.
