This panorama is of Dr. Robert Patten (Lynette S. Autrey Professor in Humanities), the paper presenters and participants of a wonderful two-day program to honor Dr. Patten upon his recent retirement from Rice University.
Actually, he has returned to Rice from spending the academic year 2011-12 as first Scholar in Residence at the Charles Dickens Museum and Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of English Studies, School of Advanced Study, University of London.
An excellent time was had by all of the attendees, and all is not lost as Doctor Bob will be returning to Rice in order to participate in several activities in 2013.
Regarding the panorama: viewing this visual event via the Google Earth link is pretty exciting :)
