- Description
-
Minnehaha Creek originates in Lake Minnetonka and flows east 22 miles until it reaches the Mississippi River. Near the creek's confluence with the Mississippi River, the 53-foot Minnehaha Falls are found. The outlet at Gray's Bay on Lake Minnetonka was undoubtedly closed to preserve the lake level and as a result, the Minnehaha Falls are nearly dry.
