Morning fog had cleared away nicely only one hour before to reveal all of San Diego Harbor and the downtown skyline. Off in the distance to the right are the hills of neighboring Tijuana, Mexico. You can see a nuclear submarine and several other Navy ships and aircraft. At the North Island base there is a stock car race going on. You may even be able to spot one of the America's Cup yachts being sailed about by some tourists.
