Description

This was collected alongside Ras Al Khor Road just outside of Al Habab, Dubai. Al Habab is surrounded by dunes; as you might expect, this sand is an aeolian sediment. It represents a midway point between the soft beach sands of Jumeira to the west-northwest, and the coarser, water-transported sediments of Wadi Al Khames in Oman's Al Hajar Mountains to the east.
