The Richard Proenneke Historic Cabin is managed by Lake Clark National Park and Preserve as a nationally significant historic site. It stands out as one of the best examples of the nearly thousands of log cabins built in bush Alaska in the last 100 years. Nearly everything at the site was handmade by Proenneke during his time at Twin Lakes between 1967 and 1998. It has been left here, as he left it, for others to enjoy.
