Description

From the WSJ-Lisa Fleisher: Cooper Union, the prestigious art, architecture and engineering college in Greenwich Village, is considering something that would be unremarkable at just about any other school: charging tuition. Asking students to pay for their academics would buck more than 100 years of tradition at the small school and go against the vision of founder Peter Cooper, who wanted it to be "free as air and water."
