色达喇荣寺五明佛学院，坐落在四川省甘孜藏族自治州色达县境内向东南方向约18公里处，海拔3700米。色达喇荣寺五明佛学院，也称色达佛学院，常住的喇嘛有近万人，堪称“世界第一”规模的庞大佛学院。每遇有佛事活动人数还会增加，最多时可达4万多人。这里的僧舍很壮观，如果是初次到色达，其庞大的阵势往往会让来者目瞪口呆。连绵数公里的山谷布满了密密麻麻的小木棚屋，这便是成千上万的喇嘛和尼姑们的宿舍，谷底和山梁上分布着几座寺庙和佛堂，身披绛红色僧袍的喇嘛和尼姑来来往往，空气中充满着祥和的气氛

This is one of the most amazing Gigapans I have seen. Great as a complete shot, and enough interesting detail to keep you busy for hours. Also a glimpse into a world I know nothing about. Would be great if the photographer could add some info in English.
